Growing the Future Together
Jewellery can make personal values visible. For us at mandana Jewellery, that also means thinking about responsibility beyond our own products. That is why mandana has been supporting the EarthChild Project in South Africa for several years.
This South African non-profit organisation supports disadvantaged children and young people in townships and rural areas through environmentally oriented educational programmes, including yoga, meditation, vegetable growing and recycling. Among other things, the organisation builds its own classrooms, which are financed in collaboration with partners.
In 2023 we were able to support the creation of our own classroom — a safe space where children can learn, develop new skills, and build a mindful connection with themselves and their environment.
In 2025 our partnership grew further: together with EarthChild e.V. and Urban Harvest, the Yomelela Primary Food Garden transformed unused school grounds into a vibrant organic garden and outdoor learning space. The freshly harvested vegetables and herbs can supply the school meals for more than 1,000 children. At the same time, students learn firsthand how food grows, why biodiversity matters, and how they themselves can take responsibility for their environment.
We see it as our obligation to support these activities in order to give something valuable back to society.
