LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS: GENUINE BRILLIANCE WITHOUT MINING
Our lab-grown diamonds have the same chemical and physical structure as mined diamonds, but are created under controlled conditions rather than through mining. The Nevermined lab-grown diamonds used in mandana jewellery are grown in Germany using renewable energy.
This makes them a conscious alternative for anyone seeking exclusive diamond jewellery without compromising on ethics or quality. The diamonds are evaluated according to the 4Cs: Carat, Colour, Clarity and Cut. In addition, IGI certification ensures traceable quality. For you, this means: a genuine diamond, transparent derivation and a piece of jewellery that combines beauty with responsibility.
SUSTAINABLE GOLD JEWELLERY MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS
Sustainable gold jewellery starts with the choice of materials. mandana uses recycled gold and recycled platinum so that no new raw materials need to be extracted. After melting and cleaning, the material possesses the same quality as newly extracted precious metal.
Whether jewellery in yellow gold, white gold or rose gold, rings made from recycled gold, or jewellery made from recycled gold with diamonds: the materials are selected to suit the design, comfort and standards. Recycled gold offers a high gold content and a refined colour while platinum is especially dense, tough and naturally light in colour.
This is how sustainable jewellery is created from high-quality materials – crafted by hand, with attention to detail and made to last.
JEWELLERY MADE IN GERMANY AND HANDCRAFTED IN EUROPE
mandana stands for jewellery made in Germany and European craftsmanship. The Nevermined lab-grown diamonds are grown in Germany, and the jewellery is handcrafted in Germany and Spain. This combination ensures short supply chains and high quality standards.
At mandana, Made in Germany jewellery ensures origin paired with a standard of excellence: secure settings, clean finishes, aesthetic proportions and designs that remain wearable for many years to come. Every piece of jewellery is carefully inspected before it reaches you.
NEO LUXURY: JEWELLERY THAT EMBODIES VALUES
Neo luxury describes a new form of luxury. It is not rarity alone that determines the value of a piece of jewellery, but the values it embodies: responsibility, transparency, quality and design. mandana democratises diamond jewellery for a new generation that consciously chooses beauty.
Another benefit for you: lab-grown diamonds can be offered at up to 70 per cent less than comparable mined diamonds while maintaining the same premium quality. This makes high-quality diamond jewellery more accessible, without you having to compromise on brilliance, style or status.
SUSTAINABLE JEWELLERY: BUY CONSCIOUSLY, WEAR FOR A LIFETIME
If you’re looking for sustainable jewellery in Germany, at mandana you’ll find pieces with clear origins, certified diamond quality and responsibly sourced materials. The designs are created to accompany you for a long time: timeless for every day, especially for the moments that last.
A ring, a necklace, a bracelet or a pair of earrings from mandana are therefore more than just a beautiful accessory. They represent a choice for style, transparency and peace of mind – as daily companions, visible to others and meaningful beyond the moment. Discover our diverse range now!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Jewellery
mandana jewellery is crafted from recycled 18-carat gold, recycled 14-carat gold or 950 platinum and is enhanced with Nevermined lab-grown diamonds. The diamonds are grown in Germany using 100 per cent renewable energy and are certified in accordance with SCS-007-1.
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds and are chemically, physically and visually identical to mined diamonds. The difference lies in their origin: they are not produced through mining but are grown under controlled conditions in a laboratory.
mandana jewellery is handcrafted in Europe – specifically in Germany and Spain – with great attention to detail.
At our mandana Manufactory in Pforzheim, the traditional ‘Goldstadt’ (City of Gold), we combine decades of craftsmanship with modern technology: this is where the majority of our jewellery is created from recycled 18-carat gold, recycled 950 platinum and Nevermined lab-grown diamonds.
In this way, we combine European craftsmanship with a clear commitment to quality, transparency and responsible luxury.
The diamonds in your piece of jewellery come from the Nevermined Lab, our own diamond laboratory in Germany. Nevermined lab-grown diamonds are grown here under controlled conditions and with the utmost precision. The name ‘Nevermined’ was chosen deliberately: our diamonds are not mined, but grow layer by layer using 100 per cent certified green electricity. At the same time, we ensure that water and energy are used in a resource-efficient manner. In this way, we combine innovation with a climate-friendly approach.
Nevermined thus represents a new source of diamonds – transparent, responsible and forward-looking.
Two processes are typically used for the production of lab-grown diamonds: the CVD and the HPHT process. The Nevermined lab-grown diamonds we use are produced exclusively using the DVD process. ‘CVD’ stands for ‘chemical vapour deposition’.
In this process, small pieces of diamond known as ‘seeds’, are placed in a vacuum chamber. Plasma is created in this chamber, and its gases are decomposed during the process. The carbon released is deposited on the surface of the seeds and thus allows the diamonds to grow layer for layer. The rough diamonds are then processed and cut in exactly the same way as mined diamonds and certified by an institute such as the International Gemological Institute (IGI). Lab diamonds are also labelled as such in their certificates.
Whether a resizing is possible depends on the specific design of your ring. If your ring doesn’t fit perfectly, you can contact us at any time via our contact form.
We will assess on a case-by-case basis what adjustments are possible. Alternatively, you can return your unworn ring in its original packaging and reorder it in the size you require. You can find more information about the returns process under Returns & Exchanges.
mandana stands for sustainable diamond jewellery made from responsibly sourced materials. Our jewellery is crafted from:
- Recycled 18-carat gold (750 gold) or recycled 950 platinum
- Nevermined lab-grown diamonds, grown in Germany
By using recycled precious metals, we reduce the need for new resources. Combined with lab-grown diamonds, this creates jewellery that redefines luxury and sustainability.
Yes, many of our jewellery pieces can be personalised with an engraving. To request an engraving, simply send us an enquiry to customerservice@mandana-jewellery.com. Please note that not all jewellery is suitable for engraving and that the delivery time will be extended by approximately 2–3 working days due to the customised creation. Yes. Sustainable diamond jewellery from mandana combines genuine lab diamonds with high-quality recycled precious metals and meticulous craftsmanship. The diamonds are evaluated according to the 4Cs and are IGI-certified. This ensures you receive quality and durability – with an ethically sound origin.
Our jewellery is synonymous with the highest quality and precision craftsmanship. Should a fault nevertheless arise, your statutory warranty rights naturally apply in accordance with our GTC.
Our aim is to create jewellery that will be with you for years to come – through the big moments and the quiet ones in between.
To ensure your mandana jewellery retains its brilliance for a long time, we recommend that you take it off in certain situations:
- when showering, bathing or washing your hands when exercising
- when doing housework or gardening
- when coming into contact with chemicals (e.g. chlorine or cleaning products)
This will protect your piece of jewellery made from recycled gold or platinum and preserve the brilliance of your lab-grown diamonds.
Of course, you can have your mandana jewellery repaired by us if something breaks. Send us a message via the contact form.
In principle, you are, of course, free to have your mandana jewellery engraved by a jeweller at your own expense. Please note that not all items of jewellery are suitable for engraving and that we cannot accept any liability for any consequences or damage arising from the engraving. Please also bear in mind that we cannot accept returns once your mandana jewellery has been engraved.
In the event of a fault or defect in your mandana jewellery, we recommend that you always contact our customer service team first, as we cannot accept any costs or liability for repairs carried out by a jeweller without our prior approval.
The right ring size is crucial for optimal comfort. With these tips, you can easily determine it yourself:
Using a ring:
Measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits and compare it with our size chart.
Using paper or thread:
Wrap a narrow strip of paper or a piece of string around your finger, mark the point where they meet, and measure the length. This is your finger circumference. This is how you can quickly find the right size for your mandana ring.
Coloured alloys determine the colour of your gold jewellery. Our sustainable diamond jewellery is made from 750 gold (18 carat). Depending on your personal taste, you can also choose from three coloured alloys: yellow gold, white gold or rose gold:
- Yellow gold: Yellow gold is the classic gold alloy. Adding copper and silver can help precisely control the colour of the yellow gold alloy. Although this classic colour alloy is the closest to the colour of ‘original gold’, it is used to make the piece of jewellery more resilient. Yellow gold remains the most popular gold alloy used in wedding rings.
- White gold: To obtain white gold as a colour alloy, silver, platinum or palladium, for example, are added to the gold alloy. This reduces the colour intensity and creates a paler shade. If the white gold alloy contains platinum or palladium, it is more resistant to scratches. A white gold alloy is a great way to highlight the brilliance and purity of diamonds. It’s the ideal setting for the diamond on your finger.
- Rose gold: Although rose gold was originally used only very rarely in rings, it has been a trend colour for fashion, smartphones, and of course jewellery, for some years now. The reddish shimmer in rose gold alloys is created by adding copper and silver. The more copper is added, the redder the alloy appears, which is why it is often referred to as ‘red gold’. Rose gold flatters every skin type and is a little subtler than bold yellow gold. But a rose gold ring also looks perfect when combined with yellow and white gold counterparts.
All variants are made from recycled 18-carat gold and are refined in colour through the addition of other metals. We also offer jewellery made from recycled 950 platinum: bright and shimmering, robust and perfect for jewellery designed to be worn for a lifetime.
Pure gold is a rather soft precious metal, which makes it very easy to shape and process. However, if we used pure gold for jewellery, it would quickly develop unsightly scratches and other damage. To prevent this, other elements, such as silver or palladium, are added to pure gold. There are many different grades, from 333 (8 carat) to 999 gold (24 carat). In Europe, three gold alloys are most commonly used in gold jewellery:
- 333 gold: 333 gold consists of 33.3% pure gold and corresponds to 8 carats. 8 carat gold therefore has the lowest gold content for gold jewellery. In Germany, this gold alloy is the minimum permitted in the jewellery industry for gold jewellery to be designated as such.
- 585 gold: In 585 gold, the amount of fine gold is 58.5%. 585 gold is also referred to as 14 carat gold. This gold alloy is the most commonly used alloy for gold rings and other gold jewellery worldwide.
- 750 gold: 750 gold has the highest proportion of gold of all three alloys, at 75%, amounting to 18 carats. Alongside 585 gold, it is the most commonly used in gold jewellery in Germany. The jewellery from mandana is made exclusively from 750 gold.
